PALMER – At a Special Board meeting Wednesday, the MEA Board of Directors passed a motion hiring Evan “Joe” Griffith as the interim General Manager, pending contract affirmation. The motion passed by a vote of 5-2, Directors Glines and Devilbiss voted against the motion.
Director Janet Kincaid explained that five people submitted applications for the interim post. One applicant was deemed not qualified, and another asked to be reserved for consideration as permanent General Manager, leaving the Search Committee with three candidates to interview.
