Recipes: Alaska Berries

Photo courtesy Anchorage Museum of History and Art.

Colonist children in 1935 pick raspberries, which still abound in the wild.

One thing all Alaskans love to do is eat and that’s due in part to the number of outstanding cooks who make the last frontier their home. Sharing recipes is a co-op tradition. We started collecting recipes for this cookbook from our members in July of 1995.  By far, we get the most correspondence from Powerlines readers who have tried and loved one of these special recipes.
