MEA will be holding a surplus sale of vehicles, equipment, and/or other items that are available for the general public to bid on. A catalog of items that will be available for bid is provided below including item photos, description and operational status.
Public Viewing Event - Thursday, September 29th
A public viewing of surplus items will be available at MEA's Palmer Headquarters at 163 E Industrial Way on Thursday, September 29, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. All bids for surplus items must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. (AKST) on Friday, September 30, 2022. Interested bidders are encouraged to inspect items before bidding as the condition of each item is not warranted. Defects may exist and repairs may be needed. Buyer must pack, load, and remove all purchased items.
Submitting a Bid - Bids Due by September 30th at 4:00 p.m.
Interested buyers who wish to submit a bid may do so by following the instructions on the accompanying Surplus Sale Bid Form. Please read the form thoroughly before submitting any bids. If you are bidding on more vehicles or pieces of equipment than the form allows please use multiple forms. Bid notification and removal/pickup requirements are listed on the form. All submitted bids will remain sealed and confidential up to the bid deadline.
Payment/Removal of Purchased Property
Successful bidders will be notified of awarded purchase within 10 business days of bid closing. Payment of certified funds only (cashier’s check or cash) and the removal of the purchased items are required to be completed by Friday, October 14, 2022. Payment will be coordinated by MEA’s Procurement department, with a completed Bill of Sale provided at the time of receiving payment in full prior to removal. MEA will not assist in the removal of vehicles or equipment so please plan accordingly.
