MEA is now accepting candidate applications for the April 2021 District Board Seat Elections for the Matanuska and Eagle River District Seats.

• The Matanuska District includes members in the communities of Palmer, Butte, Sutton, Chickaloon and Glacier View.
  The Matanuska District Seat will serve a four-year term from 2021 to 2025.
• The Eagle River District includes members in the communities of Eagle River, Chugiak and Eklutna.
  Due to a 2020 Bylaw change that staggered Board seat elections, the Eagle River District Seat will serve a one-year term this election.

Candidates must reside in the district seat boundary by January of 2021 in order to run for election.

Interested candidates can download the fillable candidate application or pick up a printed copy in the lobby of our Wasilla or Eagle River offices. Our Palmer office lobby remains closed to the public due to COVID-19 safety and health measures.

Candidate applications are due on Monday, February 8, 2021 by 5:00 p.m.
